Sample Splitting

If I have a sample of something, can I re-sample it to get two copies of the sample so I can use one and save the other for later?

Sampling a sample seems really cheesy to me. If you want two samples of the same thing, you should take two samples of the same thing, IMO. Otherwise you end up with a theoretically infinite sample as long as you split it before using one.

I think that cheesiness depends on the sample type. Like, it totally would make sense to me to be able to split a logical sample.

I could see it as a part of some other perk.

No. One sample = one sample. Someone can try to research a way to preserve, manipulate, or duplicate samples and I will sanity check it further at that point, but for the moment, no.
