I have some confusion regarding this procedure. How exactly does it work?

Cryogenic Suspension
“Bio, Extend Death Sequence 5 minutes”
Cost: BIO
Description: You suspend the progression of a subject’s deteriorating condition with an injection of a temporary vitrifying protectant and the application of an improvised cryopack to the primary region of trauma.

Left Shift Death Chip
“Math, Extend Death Sequence 5 minutes”
Cost: BAS
Note: You have an extra 5 minutes in the current state you are in. Some examples: If you are Bleeding Out, you have an additional 5 minutes before you are Dead. If you are Dead, you have an additional 5 minutes before you become Revived. If you are Poisoned, you have an additional 5 minutes before you suffer the Death Effect.
Description: You hack the Death Chip briefly to delay when it considers the body “dead” and activates.


These two procedures have the same call, but the note only appears in the math procedure, and I just want to make sure they are both intended to work the same way.

Additionally, the note conflicts with the extend death sequence call in the calls section, which says it only applies in the Dead state and not any others.

LSDC verbiage is correct, and they are intended to function identically, other than the Science being used.
