Perks And Theory Level

I've heard a rumor regarding perks and theory that I can't find specified in the rulebook, so I figured I'd ask here:

1) If a perk is clearly pertaining to a current discipline, can it apply to that disciplines theory level? Based on the paragraph discussion teaching in the perks section of the rulebooks, we already know that perks have disciplines associated with them. It's just not clear if that also applies to theory.

2) If a perk is clearly pertaining to engineering or technician, do those points count towards your engineering or technician level?

3) If a perk can apply to multiple sciences/disciplines, do you need to pick one? If so, when do you pick? Upon learning, or as soon as it becomes relevant? Can that choice ever change?

Complicated question, so much a perk can do that's not direct discipline related.

Unless you are researching
The Psychology of Psychological Psychology, with a side of Psychology.

That one is easier. smiling smiley
