Vi And Engineering Modifier Theory Cap

Hi friends!

I was looking through the rule book, and saw VI! Since I am considering playing a math-y VI based character in FI3, this seemed really cool, but then I started digging into the engineering rules, and found that it was actually really difficult for me to build a VI device that I thought was good. (This may be my lack of experience with the engineering system and what is a good device.)

This is what I ended up building:
H Size 4: Streamlined
U Uses and Upkeep 0: Single use
M Modularity 2: Basic Implant
A Autonomy 6: VI
D Durability 0: Delicate

This requires total theory level 6 though, which seems like it may be prohibitive for use, given some of the other devices buildable at 6.

I talked a bunch with Josh, but figure it probably made sense to bring up now to some of the current engineers. As it stands, VI is supposed to be at equal level with invulnerable device, assault armor, perfect implant or the high use devices (6x no upkeep or 12x 6x upkeep.)

What do you all think? Engineers out there, would you/could you feasibly use VI?

Thoughts on power, a VI is almost a free enhancement slot in certain ways.
