IMPORTANT PREFACE FROM STAFF: IMPORTANT NOTE: this is sitting in the main board, which is publicly viewable, don't accidentally out yourself if you don't mean to.

Hey all,

In an attempt to help out the non-cis members of our community and create a welcoming environment, I wanted to start this thread to allow people to share how they would like to be identified by other players/staff. I still see some misgendering going on, especially towards a few individuals, and I'd like to stop that.

To that end, IF YOU ARE COMFORTABLE, please post here with your IC name, OOC name, and pronouns for each. Staff, if you want to name a face character or just leave it to your OOC name, that's fine. Remember that nobody's is forced to out themselves, so if you want to use a set of indentifiers that aren't technically correct but how you are choosing to be called in this space, please feel welcome to do so.

Also, when writing or speaking about anyone, especially if you don't know them personally, PLEASE check this list first to ensure you are identifying them appropriately.

Thanks all!

Please use the following format.

OOC Name I would like you to call me: Rhiannon or Rhichi, Rhi for friends
IC Name I would like you to call me: Siadona, Sia, or Dr. Briggs (nicknames like "Doc" are also fine)
OOC Pronouns I would like you to use: She/her/hers (they/them/theirs acceptable but not how I identify.)
IC Pronouns I would like you to use: She/her/hers (they/them/theirs acceptable but not how I identify.)

Dr. Siadona Briggs, PhD
Chief of Psychology
Board President, Pioneer Medical Center
she/her/hers

Hi friends, and thanks for this Rhiannon! Brilliant idea.

OOC name I'd like you to call me: Storey

IC name(s) I'd like you to call me: Tobi or Dr. Lancaster, Ray (or insults as they definitely deserve it), Kavita, Trinket; depends on character I'm out as of course.

OOC Pronouns I'd like you to use: she/her/hers

Tobi's pronouns: they/them/theirs.
Ray's pronouns: any of the primary three, but they/them/theirs is most accurate. It/its is also applicable as an insult. None of these will make me uncomfortable - switch around or stick to one. Your choice.
Kavita's pronouns: she/her/hers.
Trinket's pronouns: they/them/theirs out of VR, she/her/hers in VR.

OOC Name I would like you to call me: Lee
IC Name I would like you to call me: Basil

Intended pronunciation of Basil is bay-zul, but mistakes there (e.g. bah-zul) don't bother me and will be taken IC. IG nicknames are fine too (e.g. "serf"); I would clarify with you if you start using a nickname that OOG bothers me.

OOC pronouns I would like you to use: they/them/their

Hi there!

OOC Name: Josh. Not Joshua, please. If there are multiple Josh’s in a room, I’m fine with being called JB to distinguish between us, and went by it for years among my friend group as a kid where my best friend went by Josh J.
OOC/IC Pronouns: He/Him/His. They/them/theirs is fine but not first choice.

I've updated my entry to reflect the following:

Please don't call Adam "Invictus" on its own. This is not just an FI thing, I don't like my other LARP toons being referred to by last name only either.

Adam, Dr. Invictus, Doc (or any permutation of these e.g. Dr. Adam or Doc Invictus) is how I'd like to be referred to going forward. This also applies to Sol/Solomon as well if you're bringing him up.

Thanks in advance!

OOC Name: Jason, Jas is acceptable but I'm only used to a couple people calling me that so I might not know you are talking to me.

IC Name: Ryvers if that's obviously who I am. May vary as I'm staff now
OOC Pronouns I would like you to use: he/him/his (they/them/theirs are also fine, but not how I identify)
IC Pronouns I would like you to use: he/him/his (they/them/theirs are also fine, but not how I identify, unless you see a pronoun pin on me with She/Her

Be excellent to each other!

OOC name: Hope. Also responds to "Mom" from anyone under 50. Don't call me Dr. R unless someone is actually in need of OOG medical attention.
OOC pronouns: she/her/hers preferred, no offense taken at anything except "it".

IC name: Addison Lancaster, Addy, Dr. Lancaster, Aunt Addy, Auntie. Does not respond to plain Dr, figuring a surgeon is wanted rather than a shrink.
IC pronouns: she/her/hers preferred, no offense taken at anything except "it."

IC Name: Rose or Dr R.B-Hasturi

OOC Pronouns: she/her/hers & fae/faer/faers
(please note the 'and' not 'or', I also do not like they/them/theirs used for me, thank you)

IC Pronouns: she/her/hers
