All,
I’m thrilled to finally share with you our plans for the final 2.5 events. We’d been keeping this under our hats because surprises are fun (and other more boring logistical reasons), but wanted to finally reveal now (in case it alters what you want to research).
The fall season full events (fall 1 and fall 2) will tell the story of the climactic conclusion of our campaign: the final showdown with Sister, whatever form that takes, as well as making tough decisions about what human civilization needs to be in order to continue.
Our final one-day will be an epilogue taking place 5-10 years later.
There are a lot of ways this can go - the future isn’t written in stone. Will you scream victory on a scrap pile of Sister and have all nations declare it a global holiday? Will you spend the rest of your days with a chip in your head telling you to be a happy miner for Mother? Or maybe, once backed into a corner, you will all fall in lock step with the Network and receive your implants. A victory, but at what cost? There are infinite versions that lie between these and you all have a voice in it.
But in all situations, the one-day is an epilogue/capstone to the story we’ve all told together over the past five years. The time jump is an important part of that because this story has always been about (among other things!) the FUTURE, about struggling together to create a world that WORKS - not just on the short-term scale that’s LARP-feasible to show, but on the world-scale we do our best to give you windows to see.
(I hope you’re as excited about this as I am, because you’re going to be collaborating with us on your epilogues when the time comes! Will Monte open a jazz club with Evie? How many adorable math-loving babies will AC and Felicity Anne have? Will the Hasturis ever resolve their family drama?! How many bridges can one Lance build!?! Let’s find out together!)
Drop me any questions below! Much love,
Steph!
