We'd like to use this upcoming event to test a new initiative that we've been mulling over for a while: letting PCs take (short) shifts as crunchies to fill out downtime when we're short on combat cast. The way this will work is:
1): You sign up via this form: tinyurl.com
/ lfxyutv (without spaces, forum is eating the URL)
2): You bring a set of plain dark clothing to the event, including a long-sleeved black shirt.
3): When you show up, your sheet will list your Maintenance Shift for the weekend, telling you when to report to Ops, and when you can expect to be back by (shifts will be ~2 hours long).
4): You shoot and/or stab things. On your way out, you get paid 10 credits for your hard work for Maintenance.
5): You put in your PEL that you did a shift, and we give you 20 UP
Player crunchies will be specifically assigned to roles that require little or no context to minimize the amount of information you get that you'll have to avoid thinking about later, and we will be mindful of scheduling shifts to not overlap with plots/mods that you are known to be involved in.
