Details:

The One-Day event will take place on Saturday, January 23rd from noon until 6 PM at the Sturbridge Host Hotel. We have the large event space (the Hawthorne room), please feel free to mill around in the hall outside and we'll try to have checkin open by 11 AM. (Please show up at 11 so we can make sure you're all set!)

Afterwards we will clean up (please help!), break for dinner, then meet up for drinks and awards at a place and time to be determined.

The afterparty will be a lot of fun, details forthcoming!

I am also looking for a few volunteers to help us haul totes over from YOC Friday night and haul the totes back on Sunday morning. Capacitous vehicles a plus! Reply in comments below if you can help out.

FAQ

* Will I have my Gathers, Technicians, and Engineers for the One-Day?
Yes, you will get your stuff just like it was a regular event.

* Will I have to pay Device Upkeep?
Yes, since we are giving you Gathers, you must pay upkeep.

* Will I have my dev action and research action results?
You will have ALMOST all of your dev actions (a few of the non-standards that needed a lot of between-game time will be bumped to Spring 1.)

You will PROBABLY have your research results. This is our goal. I will post here if we need a little more time.

* Will I have my UP shop purchases? Bitter End AMPs?
Some of them. Things like cap raises, etc, have been processed as they come in. The items that need a lot of pre-game work from us (the AMP Grab Bags, the Auction items, Pinnacle AMPs, etc) will be available spring 1.

* Will I get a dev action after the One-Day?
No, are you trying to kill us?! I mean, sorry, but nope, not feasible. You can try to change my mind with wine, but it probably won't work.

* Will I get a full cap increase and points and stuff?
Yes you will! A full 50 CP cap increase and standard points for attendance, PEL, cleanup, etc. Totes toteing will also get you points.

Steph can those of us who provide foodage depend on some level of what we had last one day in terms of accommodations? Should I ask the hotel Fri night or something for us?

The last one day we were able to get a couple of these rolling table meets coolers to store ice and all our equipment on. I don't remember "how" we got them...

CLARIFY
This event is at the Sturbridge Host Hotel, not Ye Olde Commons. This means that, through no fault of your own, there will be parts of our world not accessible during game time. It would be unfair of us to punish you for that so of course we won’t!

To be super-explicit, Immobile Devices and such will not be lost. We will not penalize anyone for leaving their misc. props at home for this event. Likewise, the Infrastructure-related devices will also be safe for this event.

Player Characters not attending this event are assumed to be ‘sheltered in place’ and will not fall into enemy hands off screen. NPCs however… FOIG. (Bwa, ha, ha?)

So we can walk out of the area and *use* The immovable and crazy huge devices normally in the commissary or auto-forge?

That is different...

No. You won't have access to things you can't get to in game.
