At the winter summit on C.Y. 2:1:10 in Touchstone, at the invite of the government of Touchstone, representatives from GDF, Ondrej, Rheovari, Gallerias, and the black relay of the Network will come together to conduct diplomatic negotiations, exchange information, and ease intercolonial tensions.

Touchstone was deployed by Mothership in a so-called “biological containment zone”, a result from a war between Ondrej and GDF. Our presence here seems unusual, and could upset the biological and geopolitical environment. Touchstone has, at the moment, the cautious attention of all these groups.

Each group of representatives will be accompanied by a defense force of no greater than one point (5 military personnel). No uninvited harm should come to any of these representatives, or their security forces. Aggressors may be expelled from the summit.

Colonists of Touchstone not currently under detention or quarantine measures are all invited to be present at this summit. Bring your IDs. People under quarantine will also have access to the events, under details to be determined.

There will be opportunities for cultural exchange during the summit. We count on you to help Touchstone present its best face forward.

Details:

The One-Day event will take place on Saturday, January 10th from noon until 6 PM at the Sturbridge Host Hotel. We have the large event space (the Hawthorne room), please feel free to mill around in the hall outside and we'll try to have checkin open by 11 AM. (Please show up at 11 so we can make sure you're all set!)

Afterwards we will clean up (please help!), break for dinner, then meet up for drinks and awards at a place and time to be determined.

The afterparty is being hosted by the lovely Jen and Dave Catania, using the power of Dave's liquor-fu to get us wholesale prices. Please send Jen some buxx and drink deeply from their delicious well! (She has posted her details separately.)

I am also looking for a few volunteers to help us haul totes over from YOC (Saturday morning or Friday night, we have not finalized yet) and haul the totes back on Sunday morning. Capacitous vehicles a plus! Reply in comments below if you can help out.

FAQ

* Will I have my Gathers, Technicians, and Engineers for the One-Day?
Yes, you will get your stuff just like it was a regular event.

* Will I have to pay Device Upkeep?
Yes, since we are giving you Gathers, you must pay upkeep.

* Will I have my dev action and research action results?
You will have ALMOST all of your dev actions (a few of the non-standards that needed a lot of between-game time will be bumped to Spring 1.)

You will NOT have your research results until spring 1. We need the full amount of time to review your wacky ideas.

* Will I have my UP shop purchases? Bitter End AMPs?
Some of them. Things like cap raises, etc, have been processed as they come in. The items that need a lot of pre-game work from us (the AMP Grab Bags, the Auction items, Pinnacle AMPs, etc) will not be available. Sorry, we need the full amount of time to get these prepped!

* Will I get a dev action after the One-Day?
No, are you trying to kill us?! I mean, sorry, but nope, not feasible.

* Will I get a full cap increase and points and stuff?
Yes you will! A full 50 CP cap increase and standard points for attendance, PEL, cleanup, etc. Totes toteing will also get you points.
