Mea Culpa: I've been giving people staffside (and thus player-side) an improper pronunciation for what's an actual name somewhere. In the interests of correctness and propriety, the proper pronunciation of the nation "Ondrej" has a silent j, and sounds approximately like "Andre", as in Andre the Giant, but with the first syllable sounding like the word "on".
Ondrej basically rhymes with Pond Ray. There is technically a difference between "e" and "ej" but most Americans can't hear or pronounce the difference. While I can because I was raised with Church Slavonic in church, Nicolette doesn't stand a chance of ever understanding the difference. Here the 'j' is a palatal approximant, the sound of 'y' in 'you'.
I'm glad that we're changing it, both in the interest of not mangling people's actual names and because I was never sure I was getting it quite right ("ON-dredge"?)
