So I am beyond thrilled to announce that come 2014, Amber finally gets to take that vacation she has been pining for these many years, because we have a new Head of Logistics lined up!

Welcome, Maria McClelland!

Maria will use her amazing project management skills to keep us all in line and make sure the ship keeps sailing while I putter around with plots and storylines and all that fun stuff. Amber, in the meantime, will still be with us as a plotwriter and beloved cast member, but now I guess she gets to actually have her weekends to herself again or something like that.

Thank you, Amber, for all your incredible hard work over the past years, the crazy hours you have put into this work of love we are all part of, and your endless compassion and good cheer as you have rocked this (at times thankless!) role.

And thank you, Maria, for joining the team. I'm really excited to work with you for the next story arc.

I hope you will all join me in the huzzahs and high fives.

First off, my huge gratitude and congratulations to Maria for agreeing to shoulder the title and making sure this little world keeps spinning. It is often a very not glamorous job, it is in fact often a very not fun job, and I've been no small amount worried about who would carry the banner when I step down at the end of this arc. With the choice of Maria, my every fear and concern is alleviated!

Secondly, I will indeed be sticking around, fear not my lovelies. FI is family, and for me so much more than "a game". The show will go on, and I will still be backstage playing a part of it. I'll just be able to breathe and enjoy a social life at the same time!

Lastly... vac... vacash... what is this strange word I see, Miss Stephanie? It sounds lovely, and I think I want one rather desperately, whatever it is. I look forward to resting the logistical part of my brain in order to rest up for future projects.

My love to everyone in the FI tribe. We're a special sort of crazy, and I love you all.

Now, lets see about these last few events before this torch gets passed!
