The four heroes who already have their PELs in, thank you for the delicious noms.

The rest of you... our hunger is not yet slaked.

Gaze upon this adorable snack that we will be forced to dine upon if you do not sate us soon! Wail in torment at the cruelty of Yelena for suggesting this!

Write your PELs!

Wail!

Oh, the Stephanie, she is cruel and hard-hearted!

Does anyone else feel like they have to rush to get their PEL written? I won't remember half of the event if I don't hurry and get it down on paper!

I try to write mine within a day, or details fade.

If I'm a player, I don't go to sleep until I have sketched up an outline to fill in.

I try to write my Sunday night, unless I pass out. Luckily, Game of Thrones is a good incentive to stay up right now!

My PEL last night totally made me realize Hannah is turning into the Pepper Potts of FI. I just need a few cap raises and some kick ass power armor! I'll have to settle conductive thread, EL Wire and whatever other gadgets I can wire into a a Chem Burn sundress for next event!

I'll write mine from home, likely tonight or tomorrow. There are just some plotlines that I don't need to be typing about at work, given recent events.

Relatedly: talk about being afraid to do some quick google searches on relevant topics last week to refresh my memory on details in case they came up IG...

A quick note to PEL writers from a PEL reader: writing your stuff up offline is great because you have a backup in case the system eats your PEL, but copy and pasting directly from Word turns a lot of punctuation in to gobbledygook. For example:

Quote:
“Will these quotation marks turn out gibberish? How about that question’s mark, or that apostrophe? We’ll find out about this exclamation point also!”

I suggest using a simpler format or program (.txt or .rtf), or replacing your apostrophes and such after you copy-paste it on to the website form. It'll make it a bit easier to parse.

This bug appears in Transmissions to Mother as well; I was sooo sad to see a perfectly good letter turn into utter fail as a result. Have mercy on Cast/Plot/yourself and take a moment to fix it!

Also in event notes that are written for players. I try to fix them as much as I can, either in the system or with a pen on occasion, but its a little too prevalent for me to be able to do so with all of them.

I always want to take the time to think through my research and what my goals are

I usually sketch out a bullet-point outline immediately, and then fill it in over the next few days. For second-of-the-season events research is always the thing that sets when I submit, definitely.

I find it easier now that I'm cast than when I was a PC to keep things straight without losing details. I think it may be the segmented nature of it, with my Wwekend broken up in to distinct segments with out-of-character breaks in between. But yeah, if I don't write it soon, I outline it soon.

I'm doing mine tonight.
I don't take notes. I sit and write, sequentially, in character and try and relive the event. I tend to remember things, but I'm sure I get a few details wrong.

I can get deeper in character, and have occasionally figured out why I did something that, at the time, I was uncertain why the hell I was doing it.

I DO I hope I am not the only person that happens to.

Mine was submitted last night because I had to get it out there. While everything was super fresh in my mind. Please save the headgies! They are too cute to be nommed!! <3

How do you people write PELs without notes? I'm scribbling constantly and I still miss things that I mean to include when I go to write my PEL!

well, Erin, if you don't remember, how do you remember that you forgot?

Granted, I have a wonky memory... I never took notes in school, except where required to turn in the notebook for a grade... owing largely to the worlds worst penmanshiip

(For the kids, penmanship is where you write things with a pen, not type on a keyboard)

Write with a Pen not a Keyboard? Hu? Where are you from...

None of my pens leave marks on my screen. Do I need to use a sharpie?

I'm thinking of eating the baby hedgehogs with a nice raspberry-dijon glaze. Going to be DELICIOUS!

Or... write your PELs.

On one hand, I finally got the info I needed in order to finally write my PEL. On the other hand, I really want to see if they'll eat a baby hedgehog...

Oh... The hard choices we face in life.
