Im going to be ordering us(everyone) a set of patches to commemorate our victory over stauer, and as a memorial to those we lost in the effort.

As my artistic abilities are not the greatest on catalyst, I will welcome any design submissions with the following somewhere on it:

"Operation NSS CY 5:1:5"
and the initials or names of those we lost: Jane Bixby, Nolan di la Brascio, Vincent Laux

This will be revised if I am informed of others who did not return from the mission.

please do not include copyright images without permission in the design, as they wont be allowed.

the patch-making company allows for up to 7 colors without additional charges.
they can be of arbitrary shape, but the size is determined by the average of total height and width for each patch, and 2" would be the most economical option. I reserve the right to scale any designs submitted.

in 3 weeks I will pick a design from those submitted(or make one myself), and order patches.
Iron-on, velcro, and sticker-type backing are available.
If anyone has a preference, feel free to post it here. It will be taken into consideration.

Donations to offset the cost are appreciated.
The patches will be available at no charge to the players(and cast, if they so desire).

Other than recommending using "Operation NSS" instead of spelling out nutshot, thumbs up to this endeavor I don't have art skills but will gladly slip you some bux to offset the print cost. And I tots want one.

As well as echoing her 'I'll toss some money towards this, and will absolutely want one'.

Despite being a cold-hearted, vicious cast member, I was rooting for you guys even as I was counting down from "10-9-8..." as the escape elevator.

Ooooo, challenge accepted. Since I failed to get the CD cover done in time.. How big of a surface do we have to work with/what's the shape of the patch?

Suggested donation: whatever you feel like? The total cost will probably be around $140ish, so if a couple of us throw $10 at it we're gold.

Jinjia would probably want a couple extra of these; I will certainly pass you money.

A couple of things:

* Nolan di la Brascio

* Definitely go with the "Operation N.S.S." phrasing. You might alternately use the string from the planning binder, "Operation I.T.E.N./N.S.S.", but since N.S.S. was the playerside name and I'm not sure many people remembered anyone was calling it Into the Eagle's Nest, just using N.S.S. is fine.

* Please use the 5:1:5 motif somewhere. I had a tattoo design ready to go in case it was necessary, but it turned out not to be necessary at the time.

With Globle implications I'd like the cicle to look like a globe...toss on some land mass that isn't the "known globe"

But I do like it so far....or maybe a glass flask upright, with a crossed sword and gun - showing the combined efforts of everyone

If i may offer a few suggestion on your design:

The text should be twice as large in relation to the rest of the image to be legible on a patch of the size we are planning (about 2" square, though with enough donations it could get bigger)

Names on a memorial should be listed in alphabetical order. I'll update my original post to reflect this.

The boot and nuts could be bigger. There is a lot of empty space in the middle circle. Fill it with boot. In fact the boot could extend past the edges of the circle without being unidentifiable as a boot.

And colors would be nice. first 7(any 7) are free.

Solid design on very short notice. I like.
