Hi All –

YOC survived hurricane Sandy without major issues. However, the storm did blow both of our 10’x20’ equipment/props storage tents (the one behind the dining hall and the one next to the module building) into the fence/trees. They were both mangled badly. Thanks to a day of cleaning and fix-up this past Sunday we reconstructed one tent out of the remains of the two.

The rebuilt tent is by the module building, moved forward to provide space behind it for the palisade walls, which are now stored outside. Note these are common props for everyone, so please feel free to make use of them! The spot where the other tent stood still holds a tarp-covered pile of wood supplies.

On a more pleasant note, the fireplace construction is in full gear. The contractor hopes to get it done this week – but weather and circumstances can conspire against that. If anybody wants to bring firewood – or help cut it in the woods – we’ll be happy to take the help!

I’d like to thank LIONE/EOS for their patience and help this past weekend, showing understanding with both situations – wreckage from the tents, and construction material in front of the dining hall.
