I am new to this. Is there a way to spend a battery for radio upkeep in the autoforge, without making a device or amp?

I'm not positive, because I've never had to do this... but I'm pretty sure there's an account on the autoforge you can transfer resources to called "upkeep" similar to prepared procedures.

You can "withdraw" a resource in the Autoforge. This is the supported way of handling any "pull out a resource and immediately spend it" mechanics for the Autoforge - upkeep and prepared procedures being the two obvious ones that come to mind.
