Greetings,

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support in the resurrection of Future Imperfect. To show our appreciation, we offer you the chance to take one of the following two options:

1) Resubmit your research for free! If you submitted Research at the end of the Spring, 2011 season, or attended the 2012 One-Day Winter Event, you can submit an extra PEL with a Research opportunity. Yes, this means that you can resubmit a whole new Research project for the upcoming Spring 2012 season. Yes, this means that newcomers who just joined us at the One-Day Event can submit a Research project!

2) Surrender this season's Research project and study under one of the NPCs in your bunker! Simply let us know by submitting another PEL and we'll do our best to match you with the most appropriate NPC. If you have a preference for someone in particular, let us know! In other words, let Cast decide your Research project for you! We will do our best to make it interesting for your character!

We will accept your new Research PELs until Friday, February 24 at 11:55 PM, so please send us your submission as soon as possible!

If one still has an open perk not completed from last spring could one still study from the npc

If we pick option number two, are we being taught a procedure while in the bunker, or will we be taught in game this spring?

Alas, you get only one active project at a time. Meaning, if you have an open project that you have not completed, you would have to forfeit it to take advantage of this project.

Personally, I would take the NPC option this season, then resubmit the Perk at the end of the season for learning during the Fall season. After all, you know the proposal will succeed!

Whatever you receive, it will happen in the bunker and will be provided to you in your event notes for the Spring 1, 2012 event. You may gain experiments to a Procedure, Perk or gain something... interesting. A lot will depend on which NPCs are available in your bunker and what you're interests are. Think of it as letting Cast decide your Research proposal for you. We may surprise you with something you never thought of.

Derek, will there ever be a case where we choice option two and the NPC is allowed to say no for in game reasons?

Hmmmmm, I don't think there are any npc's in my bunker that can teach me anything... But I have some fabulous research ideas! <insert evil laugh>

So, would this be in addition to any research submitted at the end of the last pre-winter event? And as a follow-up, if we can't remember what we tried to research, is that saved anywhere?

I wonder who is in my bunker.........

This would not be in addition to last year's research. This would be in place of last year's research. If you cannot remember what you had submitted last time, this is a perfect time to come up with a new idea for this season!

I don't understand the question. We will do our best to match you with a NPC that best fits with your character, considering any suggestions that you give us. So, in other words, we'd likely not pair you up with someone who will say "no" to you. Makes sense? -Derek

So just the clarify, if I just submit blue prints in my PEL my research project from spring will still be processed?

Derek, you answered my question. I was just making sure I couldn't shoot myself in the foot with an NPC suggestion, as I believe some of the NPC's in my bunker are a bit strict with their research.

Let's try this:

You can Submit YOUR research (everything as you planned... usual caveat)

or

you can submit to OUR research (anything we plan).

The only thing that remains is your free "I was taught this".

I do not see where the difficulty is... but I'm weary, cranky, and do not have the whiskey to dull the pain with that Derek does.

Thanks for clarifying. Given the use of the word "season" and the special circumstances, I was going by the normal end-of-season research rules rather than the one day's.

Derek and I will discuss the blueprint option and maybe he will share his whiskey (He won't).

(Somehow I don't think this will be a game where I'm looking for *that* flask halfway through a director's shift...oh wait, no director's shift for me! WEEEEEEE! I don't think I've ever been so giddy NOT to be in control!)

Tell me more about these... truffles.

Chocolate ganache (possibly flavored with orange, raspberry, or mint) shaped into balls and then dipped in dark or milk chocolate or rolled in cocoa powder or powdered sugar.

The awesome is in the raspberry! (Unless this cast is anti-raspberry...) I trust you and Amber to let me know which of the two sounds the best.

Now, out of work, I could see some cause for confusion. Sorry if it seems harsh.

That said, blueprints we have done I'm the past when we did this sort of thing. We have a lot of extra work this time though with thos particular gift. I stand by my 'surrender' impression. That said, ultimately, I will leave the choice to him.

I have a question,
If we choose to learn from an NPC, when will you take into account our skill level, let's say i submit now but plan to buy me lvl3 bio tech, or lvl2 chem tech. When does that get checked for what I learn, or any skills for that matter. Provided i get a procedure.

The same time they check when assigning procedures. Thats already been explained.

Would it be possible to find out which npcs are in which bunkers? I'd hate to take the npc option and then find out that there were no biologists in bunker 3.
